Well.. Winter is here...

So this morning we were welcomed by a world covered in snow! As beautiful as it is, it makes for perilious driving conditions and lots and lots of shovelling..C'mon guys its only october!

Trip to Atlanta-Neuroscience 2006

Went to Atlanta on a very pink plane

to attend the Soc for Neurscience meeting 2006. Together with Shuhong and Meng Xhou

we reached Atlanta late evening and found our pretty hotel.

The next morning I met up with Sarah and Monica for breakfast, and pretty soon made plans for the JMW reunion dinner.

The reunion dinner was a blast, we ate tapas, drank botomless Sangria and mojitos all night







Hung out with the girls at the mall..
and of course..
visited the coca-cola museum

but most of the time did a lot of science...saw some good and bad posters! :-)

On the way back, I missed my flight back to Calgary and had to spend the night in a very sticky and dingy motel in Houston. Although i am glad to be back home to Georgey, I miss you guys and all the good times we had.

Trip to Cochrane

We have been so busy either with work or with setting up things in our new home in the past little while, that we almost completely forgot that there was a whole new world out there for us to explore. Well, last weekend we took a day trip to the town of Cochrane, its only about 30km away but fun anyways. We walked around the Cochrane Heritage area and discovered that the place is over-run by newly weds trying to get wedding pictures taken. It was fun in any case:-)
