Hike up Sulphur mountain

Yesterday, Ro, George and I hiked up Sulphur mountain in Banff National Park. Normally we take the gondola up to the top of the mountain, however this time we decided to brave it and hike all the way up. The views were sparce but beautiful, the hike was steep but very gratifying. Here are some pics on the way.
Very attractive Camel bags.. one lady thought we brought our own oxygen.. man that woudl have been nice!

These cute little chipmunks were everywhere.. followed us all around.. perhaps they were promoting "Alvin and the chipmunks" ... none of them sang or danced however! :-)

THis is where the camera rolled down the hill.. as we scrambled up, luckily two very nice people found it on the path, and returned it to us. The camera (Canon, of course, was unharmed!)

George and Ro tussle as usual.. "is it a a brook or a waterfall?"

Look how far we climbed.. wow.. didnt feel that high!

Elbow Falls

Last weekend, we drove to Elbow Falls close to Calgary. It was a really wonderful experience. Very beautiful place. Check out the pics
